Based in Corvallis, Bit By Bit is a non-profit, 501c(3) therapeutic equestrian program serving disabled children and adults in Benton and Linn Counties through custom-tailored riding sessions. They provide care through private equine-assisted therapy sessions to children and adults with a range of needs, including bereavement clients, children in the foster care system, and patients with emotional and physical disabilities, including Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, traumatic brain injury with paralysis, autism, hearing impairment, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, general anxiety disorder, and depression.
Erin, Bit By Bit’s founder and director, started this program in 2015, which currently serves over 30 clients a month with the additional hippotherapy program (new in 2024). Bit By Bit continues to strive to serve clients by offering affordable sessions, but they are always looking for sponsorships and help to support our program.
