You’ve likely heard of a food bank. Furniture Share’s mission is similar, except the focus is home furnishings, household items, and healthy food boxes. They connect these items to neighbors in need, creating stronger homes and brighter futures. Furniture Share’s mission is to provide locally sourced healthy foods and redistribute quality-used furniture and household items to help vulnerable populations improve the quality of their lives and become self-sufficient while protecting our local environment by diverting items from landfills. Their primary activities include obtaining donated furniture, household items, food boxes, and spices to distribute to thousands of people experiencing furniture and food poverty. Their organization’s key programs are our BEDS for KIDS, Veteran Welcome Home Kits, Healthy Family Thriving Community Food Box program, and Furniture for Individuals in Crises.
Furniture Share needs new and gently used donated items that meet our health and safety guidelines of being free of rips, tears and stains. Items must be functioning and not needing repair or service.

Furniture Share will host their 2024 Patriotic Fundraising Luncheon on Thursday, October 24th from 11:30am–1:00pm at North Albany Community Church, 1273 NW West Thornton Lake Drive, Albany.
