The South Corvallis Food Bank (SCFB) plays a vital role in supporting low-income families in Corvallis and nearby communities by providing emergency food assistance. Open four days a week, the food bank offers a welcoming space where families can pick up essential groceries. For those who are housebound, SCFB also provides home delivery services.
This essential service is powered by a passionate team of volunteers who work tirelessly to meet the growing needs of the community. Each month, SCFB serves over 650 families, equating to more than 2,000 individuals, and distributes an impressive 35,000 pounds of food.
However, the demand for assistance has surged by since 2020. This sharp increase has led to frequent food shortages, underscoring the ongoing need for community support.
